Tropicalianegra es JUNTO y no separado, son tres y nunca han tocado el instrumento que ahora tienen entre manos. No vienen de la selva, no suenan a tropical ni son negros. La Pîli es de Zaragoza (Klaus & kinsky), Angelito aspirador es de Daimiel ( Aspiradoras) y Carmelo Tornado es de Toledo (Hollywood sinners) y no suenan a ningún grupo de los anteriores. La única buena critica que han escuchado es que son más de lo mismo pero MOLAN.

Con esta pequeña bio que nos envió Carmelo Tornado queda retratada esta banda con la que inauguramos nuestra nueva serie SATURNO TAPES.

MIRI MAY - YOU'RE MY ANGEL SRSG018

Our worst kept secret is -finally!- a reality. We're proud to announce that Miri May 7" debut is out now!

Miri May is a young girl from the mystic Spanish land of Galicia: forest, legends… and long rainy days to spent listening tons of records! 60s pop, psychedelia, folk, popsike, soul, garage, sunshine pop… Miri grew up with these sounds…  and singing secretly! At least, until she were 20, when she moved to London and started there her musical adventure. After some brief collaboration with English bands like King Mob and D.C. Fontana, she recorded a demo with two covers and send them to Jacco Gardner, who offered to record and produce these songs in his studio for a vinyl release. Also he played keyboards and more instruments, along with Hugo Van De Poes (drums) and Fabio Mongeli (guitar).

And here is the result: the most impressive debut that we've listened in years. 

The A side, "You're My Angel", is a killer garage-psych tune, a cover of Los Monjes'  "Tú Eres Mi Angel", which gets a fascinating new dimension under Miri's arrangements and performing, as well as and Jacco's brilliant work.

Miri sings like a dark angel, driven by the hypnotic organ, fuzzy guitar, swinging bass, space sounds and psychedelic chorus from the great beyond. 

If this song made you descend to hell, the B side will rise you to heaven. "Five O'Clock World" is a cover of The Vogues (also recorded by Noel Deschamps and Julian Cope). Once again, the tandem Miri-Jacco arranges a brilliant re-interpretation, this time with a tasteful catchy feeling, doing a shinning pop masterpiece.

This single is a timeless gem, a "must be" in your record collection. Get it while you can!

LOS WALLAS - LA PLAYA SRSG017

El 4 de Agosto de 2012 cuatro bandas se enfrentaron en el escenario del Monkey Club de la ciudad de Gijón, España. Era la la I Batalla de las Bandas del EuroYeye 60s Mod Weekend. El premio: un single grabado por Jorge Explosión en Circo Perrotti y editado por Saturno Records. La batalla fue dura y muy reñida, pero el descaro y la frescura de las composiciones propias de Los Wallas los hicieron merecedores del premio.

Pero ¿de dónde han salido estos chicos?

Los Wallas son una banda manchego-argentina que llevan afincados en el barrio madrileño de Malasaña y haciendo ruido desde 2010. Ya cuentan con un EP Caiman (2012) autoeditado, en el que hacen gala de una habilidad especial para escribir y cantar en castellano, así como de un sonido propio que flirtea con el garaje, la psicodélica, el punk y el pop, y que recuerda tanto a los Seeds como a Los Polares o Los Salvajes.

Ahora vuelven a la carga con este nuevo single que los confirma como una de las bandas más interesantes del panorama nacional: bajo la batuta de Jorge Explosión, su sonido ha dado un salto cualitativo, y nos entregan dos canciones que entran como un trago de cerveza helada en una tarde de verano, con unas letras sencillas pero astutas, arreglos elegantes y desparpajo, mucho desparpajo.

Los Wallas is a young band from Madrid; they have previously released two EPs, where they showed their own sound and a hard pop feeling, moving around garage 60s, psychedelia, punk and glam, and influenced by bands like The Seeds and Los Polaris.

This new single has two original songs that sound so fresh and catchy!

Both songs go straight to your dance and fun senses and the production by Jorge Explosion at his unique analogic studio is brilliant, making the band sound at their best.
